Man, I love Advent of Code
I am a professional developer. This means that I don't often have the time or the desire to code outside of my job. However, every year around Christmas, I try to make an exception and solve some (arguably hard) Christmas-themed coding challenges just for pleasure.
This year, the author of the challenge decided to lower the number of puzzles from 25 to 12, due to lack of time, which for me was perfect because solving 25 puzzles in 25 days is essentially impossible while working a full-time job and maintaining other hobbies.
I haven't finished yet, but I plan on finishing before the 25th. It's been a pleasure so far. The puzzles challenge you to learn optimization techniques, search algorithms and data structures. Sometimes they leave you thinking you are worthless, and sometimes you feel like a god. I guess that's the fun of computer science.
